Get active hiking in Calgary's Natural Parks

The Calgary Field Naturalists’ Society (Nature Calgary) and local author Jim Foley are pleased to invite Calgarians to explore the natural wonders of Calgary with our just published guide to Calgary’s Natural Parks.

Calgarians are very fortunate to have such a fantastic system of Natural Parks that extends throughout the city. Whether it is the expansive views of Nose Hill, the feathered songsters of the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary, or the enticing fragrance of the flowers of Fish Creek, these parks are indeed a pleasure to experience.

Author Jim Foley’s passion for nature and commitment to detail has produced a wonderful guide that is a superb passport to not only the major parks such as Weaselhead and Edworthy Parks, but also to the hidden treasures of the smaller parks such as Bridlewood Wetlands and Edgemont Ravines.

Featuring over 100 beautiful pictures and many well-designed tour maps this book is a must for all Calgarians who wish to escape to the natural jewels of Calgary.

Pick up your copy for $25 at the Inglewood Bird Sanctuary (2445 9th Ave SE) or at the Outdoor Recource Centre (1111 Memorial Dr NW).
