Warm Weather Activities

  • Ride your bike – If you’ve got a bike, roll it out of the garage and hit the streets! Bike riding is a fun way to work your heart and your muscles, and you can see the city as you travel around.   • Stampede! -- As long as you don’t fill up on corndogs all day, going to the Stampede can be great walking exercise. You can move around the midway for rides, or check out some of the exhibitions that are free with admission. http://calgarystampede.com/
  • Swing some clubs - Golf will get you walking and swinging, so you get a great overall workout. If you don’t have access to a set of golf clubs, you can rent at the golf course. Choose a manual caddy with wheels to move your clubs along if possible. Not sure if you can manage the golf course?   • Learn how to hackey sack with your friends It takes a bit of practice, but its worth the effort!.
  • Play games in the backyard such as bocce ball, badminton or lawn darts.
  • Play some basketball with family or friends. If you don't have a net at home, most communities have them at the community center or local park.
  • Get in your parents good books, wash and wax the car
  • Play frisbee on the front lawn.
