Stress Release

  • Walk the stairs instead of taking the elevators.
  • Go outside for a 5 minute breath of fresh air during your coffee break.
  • Include humour and socialization in the work place.
  • Have an office joke of the day.
  • Take your breaks, recharge and reconnect.
  • Take a 5 minute walk or stretch break from your workstation 3-4 times daily.
  • Take a mini break on the way to the printer or when changing tasks by walking over to speak to a colleague.  Stretch out your muscles.
  • Breathe to re-center your day, thoughts and feelings. Take 5-10 slow deep breaths though your nose and on your final breath exhale fully and slowly through your mouth followed by a moment to relax.
  • Take a mini-vacation break, close your eyes and take a second to think of a favourite place.
