- Get a good night’s sleep and be alert when you arrive at work. Aim for 8 hours each night and arrive at work organized, re-charged and refreshed.
- A proper warm up and/or stretch before physically demanding work can help to decrease/prevent back injuries. Ask your occupational health and safety team to assist in the development of a routine.
- Park further away and warm up on the walk into work.
- Come prepared to be active at work. Bring bringing proper foot wear and a change of appropriate clothing if required.
- Break-the-fast. Eat breakfast. Consuming food within an hour of waking up kick-starts your body's metabolism for the day, getting you ready for an energetic day!
