Try a new activity

  • Add some excitement to the daily routine and take up a new activity. You could try table tennis, lawn bowling, or an exercise class for older adults.
  • Sign up for an activity with your grandchild, whether it is swimming, dancing or playing road hockey, you will both enjoy the time spent together.
  • Get some friends together, go to a park and try your hand at horse shoes or bocce ball.
  • Try fishing in the Bow River – take a course at the University to help you get started.
  • Golf – there are many course around the city to take advantage of in the warmer weather.
  • Take a folk dancing class with your partner at the community center.
  • Learn to relax your muscles and move with a T’ai Chi class.
  • Try bird watching with a friend.
  • Take a beginners yoga or pilates class and stretch out those muscles and joints.
