- Turn Up the Music and Dance – Great way to use lots of muscles and get your heart and lungs working.
- Action Charades – Act out different sports/ activities / never-before-tried-sports (crazy carpet Olympics) and give extra points for the team which incorporates the most muscles.
- Dress-up / Musical Parade - Showcase your musical talent in the form of a parade/marching band. Don't have an instrument? Make a harmonica out of a comb and some wax paper or cymbals from two matching pot lids. Marching gives those leg muscles a workout! Musical Instrument Ideas
- Parachute – Games such as ‘Popcorn’ (“popping” balls into the air to see how high you can get them), will get all the muscles in your arms working hard as you try to break the previous height record. More Parachute Games
- Faraway Travel – Turn part of your play area into a country you would love to visit. Give your walking shoes a workout with walking tours for other tourists, and make up some culture-appropriate dances to use all your muscles!
- Circus – Test your coordination with events such as juggling, tight rope walking, hula hoop contests and ‘trapeze’ (swings at the park are great for this!)
- Life Size Paper Bag Puppets – Create a puppet mask for yourself out of brown paper bags, and make up a play about a day-in-the-life of animals, or active friends you know. (Bonus points for the most actions!)
