Flexibility determines how easily and comfortably one can move through everyday activities. A joint or muscle that is limber can move through motions such as bending, reaching and stretching with ease, consequently reducing the risk of injury. Vacuuming, mopping the floor and dusting are all examples of every day activities that improve flexibility. Flexibility can also be applied to a healthy lifestyle in the form of a stretching routine that targets all the major muscle groups. If following a stretching routine try to engage in static stretching, which is slow, gradual and does not bounce or move quickly.
Don't forget to include flexibility as part of your day, your joints and muscles will thank you!
